Not only am I plagued with an earwax build up problem which rears its greasy head 3 or 4 times a year, but this time I have also been blessed with a huge ZIT in the left canal.

This is most probably compacting the wax more making it eventually more difficult to get out.

The problem with the ZIT is that there is no way I can see it so I dont know when it has gone and just left me with a compacted boulder of wax...

or even if the ZIT has shot its load and mixed with wax to create a puss/wax type solution.

I keep prodding it (I know I shouldnt) but its not helping... tried jiggling it out too to no avail.

Ah well....
 
Try pouring warmed up almond oil into your lug 'ole and leaving it for half an hour.

then post up some pics.
 
Tried diggin' it out with a spoon? :D

Otex for a few days then a child's medicine syringe, loaded with warm water ejected into the ear.

Works a treat.

Do it over the sink though - a bit messy otherwise.

As this is a photography forum, get a macro lens and try and take a picture of it. At least then no-one could argue it's relevance. :suspect:

Is almond oil better than olive oil ?

I've been ladling olive oil in like no ones business !

Yes I think so. I've had this a couple of times and have tried everything, the Almond oil does seem to work the quickest.

Actually, I think I may have some left over, you want me to stick it in the post for you? :lol:

Apparently what you want is hydrogen peroxide. You can hear it fizzing all the crap away then rinse out all the lovely yellow goo. There's plenty of people who swear by it, but also plenty who say it's bad. I've tried it and its VERY good...

Can't get it here in the UK though I don't think...

Common as muck in the states, or at least it was before terrorism worries grew rife. Not sure if it's available off the shelf in walmart any longer? Fantastic stuff for getting rid of infectious puss... :thumbs:
