Double Camera Strap

Remember this attaches to the lens and not the camera, so if your lens doesn't have a tripod mount you can't use it.

No it attaches to ANY tripod mount point So if its got a screw hole its will fix to it
 
So, I spent 8 hours today running around London with the strap....and I love it. Had a backpack on my back most of the time and that's usually a pain with a regular strap (for me anyways), but with this thing it was easy. Running through crowds was no issue either, just turn the camera so the lens points, well, to your crotch.
Anyway, was a good buy. No weight issues with the strap attached to the camera's mount with a 70-300 VR lens.
 
I picked my Double Strap up at the Post Office on Saturday and I too had no Import duty or tax :)

I decided that I would use it at the wedding I was shooting at that day (I know I said I probably wouldn't but I had to try my new toy :D). I used it under my suit jacket and so it was mostly hidden and I think it actually looked much more discrete than 2 camera straps. I can honestly say that it doesn't look quite as stupid as I thought it would (IMO less stupid than a Gary Fong).

The ergonomics are fantastic and was really easy to sey up. Once on the cameras hang nicely at your hip and I certainly didn't notice that I was carrying 2 heavy cameras (D700+grip+24-70 f2.8 on my right and a D300 + 70-200 f2.8VR), the weight is spread so well over the body. What was particularly nice to was that I felt assured that the cameras were secure even when I didn't have any hands holding them (something that I've never really felt with 2 cameras on each shoulder even with TP optechs)

The only down side is that you need both sides to be reasonably equally weighted as when I tried it with just one camera attached it felt odd, I suppose you could just add a dummy weight to one side.

Definately a thumbs up for me :thumbs: although I suspect a little pricy if you don't regularly use 2 cameras.

Picked mine up,I bought it for use at weddings,so thanks for the info.

Shot a horse and hound type event yesterday.D200 with 17-55 gripped on one side and D300 with 80-200 gripped on t`other.Worked very well,though they do bounce around a bit if you have to run somewhere,but I guess anything else suffers that problem as well.Can`t add much more than already said really.

Mine arrived today, *without* any of the tripod mounting rings so totally useless :(

I've e-mailed them, so let's see how good their customer services are for us folk in the UK.

Gutted really, because I wanted it for my holiday which starts on the 14th - not much chance of getting anything from the States by then.
 
i wouldnt say its impossible mate, and they have quite good customer service in my experience it will be tight but possible as the small packets get here quicker

Well, quick response from BlackRapid, they have already popped one in the post, so here's hoping it gets here quickly.
 
I went out the other day and walked about 10 miles or so,I took the gripped D300 with a Sigma 120-300 F2.8 and a gripped D200 with a 17-55 on,by far and away the easiest way of carrying two cameras that I have ever used........:thumbs:
 
Missing Fasten-R appeared in the post today so they were good to their word - top job.
 
I've been using one of the doubles since they first came out

Just can't be bettered ..... great system - yes pricey but work very well

If you haven't got one yet Richard you can have a go with mine on the wedding worksop
