Hey, ive recently purchased a new lens (ef 24mm f1.4) and went to use it for the first time and looking into the lens i can see dots. ive not come across this in any of my other lens and so am guessing theres something wrong with it?
Any answers and advise on how to best shift it?
Thanks

Dust ?

Sounds like dust, if it's new can you not take it back to the shop and replace it?

I had a spec in my 24-70 from new. It is never seen in the final photo tho and I've checked it many times..

Its new but its been boxed sitting in my grandads cupboard for few years now as he gave up n never used the lens he still has brand new body's n that.(film) Will get round to selling it on here soon but he never got back into it with his sight and that! I've taken some pics of with the lens and nothing seems to popping up thankfully!

If it has been sat in a dark cupboard for a few years it could be fungus, in which case do not put it with your lenses in your camera bag as the spores can get on your other lenses and it can spread. Can you post a photo of the lens showing the dots?
