i visited my daughter in Londinium yesterday .took the bike on the train then over to where she lives in clapham.we went for a ride to richmond park ,on the way we went through battersea park ,,,,id never been there before ,,,,,very nice ,,,,,its got a peace pergoda there very large bandstand looking structure with chubby statues around it ,,,,,anyway out came the yashi electro35 ,,,so there i was taking pics of said chubbys when i noticed a few people looking at what i was doing ,,,,,giving me that strange ,sorta what camera is he using look .now when this happens i think it can go two ways ,,,,theyre either thinking what an effing luddite or wow he must be good hes using a real proper camera ,,now its obvious they were thinking the latter ,,,,,,,,wow he must be a good photographer ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,no they were thinking what a t*** ,,,,,,,hes using a rangefinder with the lens cap on ,,,,,,,,doh !

Yes, well... I think I've confessed to my stupidity already, what with the whole island thing but I think I may have made a mess of some large format shots last week, admin error. I haven't devved them yet but I may have taken some interesting double exposures of St Michaels Mount. Watch this space.

With the Leica CL I found that a non-functioning light meter would eventually give me the idea that I'd left the lens cap on...

IF (and it's a big if!) you know how many shots you took with the cap on and where on the roll you were, you could reload the film, advance to one after the blank series starts, shoot 2 less than you did with the cap on then go 1 frame beyond the last shot you've taken and finish the roll. That's what I did on the occasions I did the same thing!

Yup. Set up the studio lights. Got the exposure sorted as I wanted it. Took a few shots.....realised I forgot to connect the pc sync cable to the camera. Some expensive dark frames[emoji85]

The list of stuff I've messed up with the LF camera is the list of stuff that it's possible to mess up. Probably a few that no one else has come up with either...
