Don't you just HATE waiting for new kit to arrive?

Im waiting on a 300 2.8 IS to arrive from Kerso as well. Should be sometime this week as he is waiting for stock. I am soooooo excited though i keep feeling like im going to burst. Its all too much. This really should come with a government health warning , this whole photographing and buying kit lark. There should be pictures on the sides of lens cases of people chasing posties down gardens.

Ahem Scuse me .... See off on one again. :lol:

Pete

Mine should be here today or tomorrow. Being delivered to work too, so no need to worry about the postie leaving it sat on the doorstep! :woot:

Think I might need to buy a new kit bag now though to fit the darn thing in! :D

Waiting for a Sigma 100-300 F4 that I ordered and a 1.4TC , been waiting for a UV filter since last week and a spare battery as well .
We have had a few probs latley with post , normal post arrived 3/4pm last week inc Sat and RMSD was 3.30pm 1 day.
I sent a parcel RMSD on Sat and its showing out for del , funny how my sellers are not as quick with their promises.
A parcel I sent a week last Frid never arrived with the buyer and I have reimbursed him , putting a claim in this week but as it was SP del limited comp , lesson learnt to increase inurance next time.

So the Parcelforce delivery arrives, he knocks the door (one presumes) and then leaves when he doesn't get an answer.

Did it not occur to him to try the DOORBELL I wonder?! :bang::bang::bang:

Now got to go and get the darn thing!

Well its finally arrived.
Ordered a 300 2.8 IS from Kerso last week. Got it delivered to work and it came this morning. Can't wait now to go and test it. Im so excited !!!!!!

It's a fantastic lens :woot: Absolutely awesome! I'm not surprised you can't wait. Well worth the wait though.

It probably came over to the UK with my Expodisc and other stock.

Enjoy! :woot:

:woot::woot: Do a little dance :woot::woot:
:woot::woot: Make a little noise :woot::woot:

Yep, you guessed, picked the lens up lunchtime, and it's booootiful! :love:

(There is something not right about loving metal and glass quite as much as this I'm sure!) :cuckoo:

:lol: ...and do the boogie woogie:lol: :woot::woot::woot:

Another fab lens, the Canon 70-200 f2.8L :thumbs:

Enjoy!

Did you guys bring your camera bodies to work then or will you have to suffer till this evening?

My parcel is now shown del , funny they forgot to give it to me though:bang:

Wasn't anticipating being able to collect the lens until the weekend, so wasn't quite prepared.

Looking for an excuse to go home now though, it's glorious here today! :D

Nah i took my 350 in to work just to make sure it worked. but there is nothing around here to really test it on.

2.40pm 2 parcels arrive at last , not going to open them for a bit just looking at them :thumbs:

Will you lot stop going on about how great your nifties are... Bl**dy post office still haven't delivered mine from Kerso and now I'll have to wait till Monday at the earliest and the post doesn't come till after I've left for work grrrr... It's not fair :bang::bang::shake::shake:

Andy

It's finally arrived, and I've been out and used it to take some sunsets and they're great. :D:D:D

Andy

Balls.
I've got over the novelty of the new dinner service....

I need a fix

:geek::geek::geek::nuts:

I sold my old Nikon F60 Film SLR on ebay over the weekend, and got enough for it to afford the Canon EOS450D I have been looking for. Amazon price was £444.00. As I away on business for a couple of days I thought I would wait until I got back to order it.

Passing through Terminal 5, thought I would pop into Dixons to see one 'in the flesh' so to speak, and they had them in there for £407!. I thought that you could only get duty free prices if you were travelling outside of the EU, but this was not the case. I was off to Milan, and the receipt said EU tax paid. So result! Camera straight away and £30 saved.

Only downside is that I didn't get chance to get out and use it much whilst there, as I was working. This is all I had time to take

Oooh thats really good.

Andy

Have a Storm Case im2720 with padded dividers and lid utility organiser coming tomorrow by TNT. Hopefully they're very efficient as it's an all day delivery slot.

Can't believe I'm so excited about a case! :woot::cuckoo::woot:

Anyway, I'll christen it tomorrow, it'll help clear up my living room for sure, and post a full comprehensive review on TP with photos..

C'mon tomorrow :thumbs::love:

My fifty came, and I love it, infact its what I used for my current competition entry.
I am about to go through the whole proccess again now. I am about to order a Fancier tripod off of ebay. I know they arent a "known brand" as such but having seen a mates, they measur up to the build quality and stability of that of manfrotto equivalents at half the price. You get a ball head and set of legs for £50 delivered.

Ok, its from china, but I am on a budget and its a great tripod!

Ordered some new golf clubs on Saturday...

Should be here tomorrow

:woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::D

Waiting huh?

I decided what dslr to buy and then looked around for a good price - play.com had the very beast at 49% off and showing as in stock, an incredible price I thought so I ordered one. The confirmation emails etc all came through including an extra email asking me to phone them to answer an extra security question - I guess they get a few scammers with expensive electrical items.I logged in to see the order status only to see a message that delivery would be 14 days :thumbsdown:

At this point I thought I would check the item page again to see if it was still in stock - the 'buy' button had been removed, a day or two later the buy button reappeared with a much higher price on the camera.

I wonder if they will try and wriggle out of it due to somebody making a mistake with the price? I'll find out soon enough, it's due on the 15th.

Well it's here! :woot:. Rang the TNT depot this morning and was advised it will be here at 2.00. Literally turned up bang on the dot.

First impressions are that it's a very very well made case and it's big!

Have about a third capacity left over which I'll no doubt fill in the forthcoming years..

Anyway, I'll take some pics tomorrow and give it a review once I've used it, which should be this afternoon; I'm walking about 2 miles to the shops with it to see how it handles etc. :woot::thumbs:

I don't have a problem waiting for kit. It's the clients" forgetting" to settle invoices so I can't buy new kit until they do which annoys me.

Finally managed to order the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 in Sony mount. This is the 4th time I've ordered it and on each of the 3 previous occasions, I've been subsequently told it was out of stock. This time it's been dispatched and I have received the Royal Mail tracking number so it's set to be delivered today. I have to go out for an hour at lunchtime, so guess what time it'll be delivered! :bang:

99.9% certain it'll be lunch time you get it fabs, but at least its being delivered after your previous 3 attemps. Your getting closer pal!

I am kinda lucky with Royal Mail, if I miss a delivery, I only have to wait an hour to go to the collection office as its at the end of my road!:woot:

Didn't get time to order the tripod yesterday so thats todays lunchtime task!

Cheers Rob. I'm also fortunate in that the RM sorting office is only a couple of minutes down the road. Their hours are good as well, open from 7am to 6pm + Saturday mornings. Where we used to live, we hade to travel to the next town and they were open only on week days from 10-4, which was pants if you worked for a living.

Does this mean that Roy Mail and the word efficient are acceptable to be used in the same sentence in this case?! I am stunned!

Enjoy your lens!

Strangely, I've never had any problems with things being delivered by Royal Mail. Having said that, I've never had a problem with Citylink either. :thinking: Just lucky I guess! :D

I have got the fund together - or will have by the end of november for a 50D. I cant wait. When i finally place the order i'll be edgy as hell!

I have a 5 - 8 workingday wait for my tripod now...

I had a phone call from home this morning..... "Your lens has arrived"

Woooo :D

Man that's harsh! Are they manufacturing it specially?

No, I'm on a budget but need a new tripod desperately. Its coming from China.

Fancier is the make, although its a rebadge job. not sure who the real manufacturer is but having seem one in the flesh I am impressed. £50 delivered, with a ball head.
