dont tell me my camera is dying please help

i was sent an inbox off a member on here saying the cost of repair would be around £30-£40 then i was given a link to sigma repairs and there it says will cost £98...ive tried claiming on the house insurance to find their not interested and i just dont have the time to send the lens away to get repaired i like to be out and about with the camera at all times so id rather buy a new lens (which ive just ordered) and get at least something for the broken lens rather than throwing it away
yes it is the OS version was bought from warehouse express and is just out of its warranty
what im going to do when i get in from work tonight will re-advertise the lens on here with a photo of the lens todays date and my user name then there should be no confusion to anybody
 
How did you pay for the lens ? If by credit card you maybe able to claim through them .

my lens has been sent to Japan cause they can't fix it lol
