but will ask anyway. I have now got Adobe Photoshop CS3 on my computer.

I am no whizz at finding how it all works so will take me ages to work it out, can anyone give me a link to/or tell me how to ...

A.... straighten wonky pictures and

B... how to resize to 800 by 600 on it.

In very simple language please :bonk:

Sorry to hear the links didnt work, just worked for me. Anyway, goto Utube and in the search box type "cs3 tutorials" there are loads.
 
Just a quick reply for your two issues:

a) To straighten you would use the Image menu -> Rotate Canvas -> Arbitrary. There may be an easier, more visual way, but thats how I do it.

b) Right click on the title bar surrounding the image and click resize image
