As usual another photo with a story is a fake.

Yet so many people jump on the bandwagon without any idea of the real information. I found a great photo ages ago, but can't find it again, it was a photo of someone in a military uniform and started off with "Saw this man walking through the airport...." and started to tell a story and ended with "actually non of this is true, I found a photo and typed some crap out, stop believing everything!"
 
still 30s to die is a bit much though - why don't they fish more.

its funny that after all his don't believe what you read he posts a picture of a barn filled with birds (turkeys?) - does he realise that they like to group together like that. even when they have access to the outside, a lot of fowl will stick together inside because they feel safer.
 
I agree, you can't believe anything you see in the media.
Newspapers often exaggerate, or even deliberately mislead, but at least they provide a vital public service by bringing stories into the open that would otherwise never see the light of day. As the old saying goes, the best disinfectant is light.

The only instant and therefore truly humane death for an animal is a well placed bullet, e.g. horses and deer. If you think that 30 secs is a long time, you've obviously never been inside a slaughterhouse.
