Well, the leaseholders (not the land owners) are now in administrative receivership after the F1 debacle and the rumours are flying that currently the circuit isn't actually in a usable condition...

The end of the story?

Clearly other race series that were booked to use it in 2010 are going to have to find alternative venues unless someone steps in pretty quick...

Will we see WSB back at Brands yet?!!

Will JP take on the Donny lease, being the most likely candidate, or was it all a dastardly plan of the Evil Bernie E to buy it for a song?

I work not too far from Donnington and w've been saying ever since he lost the F1 deal that it would be the end of them. A combination of bad planning and bad luck I guess. Hopefully it won't be the end of the circuit though (although there are rumours of airport expansion so it might get levelled and turned into a car park:shrug:

Having seen some recent photos of the circuit it looks like a reasonable amount of work will need to be done to even get the circuit running in its "old" configuration.
Couldn't have come at a worse time for the circuit as now is the time when event organisers are planning there calenders for next year. And after this years fun and games very few clubs will risk setting up to run events only to find for whatever reason it is not going to happen.

I had the fun of being there this year when the MGCC had to run a with yellow flags being displayed from Mcleans to Coppice. Few will risk something like that happening again.

of all the events the festival may be the one that isn't affected. As it doesn't use the circuit as such.

The circuit will be back, I've no doubt. It's the management company, DLV, that has gone belly up, the same family still own the land and circuit. If they turn this around, I think it could be one of the best things to happen to Donny. Joint favourite circuit to drive in the UK for me (the other being Oulton), I've always thought the site, facilities and surrounding infrastructure were totally substandard. I hope from this we'll eventually end up with a world class ribbon of tarmac, with decent surroundings the UK can be proud to host a major event at.
