Im just an ordinary bloke, apparently sledger you enter Robs email address on the 1st post into paypal that's all I have read so not much use.

Morning fellow TP'ers. I can't believe how generous everyone has been its a stunning, heartwarming and life affirming thing going on here. Well done to everyone involved and I'm sure that you will get an enormous amount of pleasure from being able to get different shots with the new kit Julian. And we want to see them, all of them.

Morning everyone- awesome effort!!

Rob, you may have trouble with paypal, I accumulated over £1200 over the course of a year and they went all 'update to business account, and validate etc.

My donation will be on it's way shortly (just need bank details as there's only 10p in my paypal account :lol:)

Seriously though, I'd only be spending the money on beer tonight, so if it can go to something that will bring a bit of joy to you, and leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling rather than an 'oh-my-god-I'm-never-drinking-again' feeling, then it's worth every penny :)

You're a role model, hope you slept all right last night, and I can't wait to see how this all turns out today :thumbs:

Chris I feel like a big girls blouse mate, Im not a role model I am just a normal bloke that has had a bit of bad luck, I count myself as lucky as twice I nearly never got to see my kids growing up. Everyday I count my blessings that I have my wife and kids, not sure they may say the same :)

And sleep was very very broken despite the medications that usually put me in a coma for the night.

Julian, just remember that its not just you that we're doing this for, its also a chance for us to do something that makes us feel good about ourselves. Its not often that we get a chance to do something nice for someone else in this modern world and I for one wish it happened more often.
We are a community on this forum and in every community there is the odd voice of dissent, there's nothing wrong with that, but the manner of the dissent should be in keeping with the spirit of the community which the above was not.

Chin up and just enjoy the moment.

Honestly, I know it must be god-awful having that said about you. But there will always be idiots, and hopefully you can see how much support you're getting far, far outweighs the one numpty (struggling to be polite here) who will always be there.

And anyway, people won't take their donations back, and Rob's already got a couple of D3s, so has no need for another camera :)
 
I've just checked back in on this thread - What is going on ???

I didn't see the post that has been removed now, I don't care what it said, I doubt whether anyone else on this thread cares either. We do care about you, ignore what ever it said and look forward to using your new kit.

Sorry julian but if you dont accept it now, the mods will only go shopping and TP Towers will be crammed full of Jaffa cakes !!! We have to thinik of Yv's figure :lol: as I'm sure we all do ... often :p

Julian, stop being a tart. We care. He doesn't. If you go through life letting the ignorant minority ruin all the good deeds done in the world it's a sad day for the planet.

Take the money (It's only money, and relatively a drop in the ocean for us all), buy a great camera, post loads of pictures and enjoy the feeling that the VAST MAJORITY of people want to help you out and will get a great buzz from it.

Try and give it back and we'll all feel tainted by Twonk Boy's ignorant and imbecile rant.

Yep, too many jaffa cakes isn't good, especially for Yv and Glo, full of sugar and will affect how they carry out their mod duties :eek:

Julian, Just think how many people on here that you are going to make extremely happy by excepting this help in the spirit that it is given, how often do you get the chance in life to make hundreds of people happy.

Likewise its not very often that all of us get the the chance
to make one persons life more happy for so little effort.
