Do we have any domestic heating engineers or plumbers experienced with indirect water and central heating on here???

Failing that, anyone out there got an idea how much rotational movement should be on the spindle of the mid position valve?

Yesterday the heating wouldn't kick in until I had a twiddle with the lever on the mid position motor (stat clicks ok and controller seems to be ok) and today it won't play at all on heating.

Water heating is working ok, Ive just picked up a new motor head assy but the spindle on the valve doesn't appear to moving more than a couple of mm. (left to centre) which makes me think the cause is the valve stopping the motors travel.

change the synchronous motor, pound to a penny it will work fine.

I have the new motor here ready to go on, but the range of movement is tiny on the valve body.

Using the pliers on my leatherman, I'm getting just a couple of mm movement at most it certainly doesn't feel free or near the 45 degrees i'm reading about on the interweb
