Dog walkers gggrrrrrr

Whoa Mark, that's really rude. You might not agree with the views on dogs, but to call into question the way he parents wholesale when you know nothing of the kind is just wrong. :nono:

And don't get started on cats folks....I beg ya.

Another example Kelly of where the offending post should be adjusted after rtm. People continue to respond to it or rtm it.

That's a bit strong mark. Lets not get the thread locked eh :shake:

Having been called Ignorant and patronising I feel that Ive got the right to reply too! I don't agree with Craig's point of view he doesnt agree with mine but I wasnt rude until provoked!

no, you should RTM. If you feel you were insulted.

Coming back with an insult about their parenting skills is never going to end well.

Oh don't let that offend you I get called that all the time lol.

I would be more afraid of a hoodie comming up and stabbing me in the guts than worry about a dog upsetting my camera.

I think Cat owners are worse than dog owners. I have a neighbour who has 3 cats. They regularly use our front garden a litter tray so when it is quiet at night I collect it all in a bag and deposit on their front garden!

And what would you suggest the cat owner does about that?

The more I read on this thread, the more I realise that people are ignorant and/or arrogant, the more I love my dog!

Dogs should be banned from all nature reserves and most of the good ones do, as for kids, well you can ban them too and let the people who are there for the nature enjoy it with a bit of peace and quite.

Keep them on a lead of course!

:)

You've reminded me of the Goodies' "guide cats for the blind" sketch. Cats on leads would certainly make for interesting walkies.

Great idea. Create a generation with no interest whatsoever in nature. That'll be great for future environmental policy making.

there will be very few of the next generation interested anyway, why would they want to go out and get cold and wet, when they can do it virtually from behind a keyboard or in front of the tv, and most green space will have been built on to alleviate the housing shortage, we may not see it but I bet your kids do

i can sympathise but if kids arent given the chance to experience nature they won't value it when they grow up, and won't vote against a govt that wants to concrete over it to build a container terminal/airport extension etc

You do realise that there's just 6.8% of Britain that is classified as urban, 54% of which is still thought of as 'greenspace' within our towns and cities. Not to mention what people's gardens, rivers in cities etc. adds. Woodland alone makes up just shy of 13% of Britain's land. Overall it's calculated that just 2.27% of Britain is built on. We're not going to run out of nature anytime soon!

And what's the population distribution like?

ask the Three Stooges :D

Older than that at a guess! They (like the Marx brothers) "borrowed" from older acts. I'm sure I've seen a clip of Groucho uttering the resemblance line (as well as the 3 Stooges).

Reading through thread it seems that most of the dog owners on here are much, much better owners and trainers of dogs than the majority.

When I am out walking I would say that other people's dog's regularly run up to me and slobber and smear me with mud/dirt. The owner meanwhile is ineffectively shouting at the dog which just ignores the owner. The owner then gives me a little smile as if to say "oh isn't he/she sweet"

I am not a dog owner and I am not particularly fond of most dogs. I've nothing strongly against them, but I dislike being slobbered over and I find it stressful having a dog running toward me especially if I have small children with me.

I would say that the majority of dogs I encounter are poorly trained and therefore potentially dangerous. Dog attacks are a serious problem in the UK.

. "Dog attacks a serious problem in the UK" couldn't be further removed from the truth.

admissions to a and e last year were around 800000 so 2000 is less than 1%, there are also approximately 8 million dogs in this country not saying its right but statistically you're way more likely to go to a and e with something else and because of something else, and for info i was probably one of those statistics, my dog bit me by accident, i needed plastic surgery on my finger as hhe damaged the nerve, it wasn't an attack by any way shape or form, i somehow got my finger in his food bowl and he chomped once, cue loads of blood and a numb finger, a dog bite is not necessarily from a dog attack.
