Somehow the DOF preview button on my Canon 5d Mk3 is stuck in, so there's no way of changing the ISO at the moment, which is quite frustrating
Anyone got any ideas as to how to release it. I've tried gently levering it up, and cleaning around the side of it with a toothbrush to no avail!
Thanks

It's stuck in which "position"? Up or down?
If it's up, you could push it with a bit more strength than usual (without damaging it, though), to see it it "releases".

Why can't you adjust ISO?

You can assign and disable buttons via the quick menu, mine is set up so that my DOF preview button actually brings up the spirit level in the VF.

Yeah, nothing other than the aperture and shutter speed will adjust. I can't see image preview after the shot or access the q menu to adjust in there either. Ok for tonight shooting Aurora at ISO 3200 but it's gonna scupper any daytime shooting otherwise

Sounds like it might be gummed up with dirt, finger grease or similar.
One thing worth trying is a drop of WD40, dont spray it, squirt some WD40 into a container then apply a drop around the edge of the button, leave to soak in for 5 to 10 minutes then try it and see if it free's up.
The proper solution would be to remove the body casing and clean, but thats quite a job to do.

Is it "really" stuck.......I wonder if the symptoms you describe would be sorted by a factory reset?

I had this on my D7k at a rally once. Got splattered with some mud and managed to get some grit wedged down the side of one of the buttons and it made the camera go crazy. I seem to remember I tried to push the button across to one side and get a toothbrush down the other and managed to work it free. Keep at it dude.

Just a thought, but would it not budge if you got some blue tack, pressed it firmly onto the preview button and yanked it off thus "wedging" the button outwards in the process?

Thanks all, I tried to pull it back out but using some gaffer tape, but it didn't work, however a little gentle persuasion with a hunting knife and we are in business again. Thanks for the suggestions!
