Yes
I keep pressing the buttons on my D40 (the ones to the left of the screen) with my nose - I'll try and change the aperture or something with the wheel only to find out I am in some menu or other. I have taken to going in and changing a setting in the custom menu so it defaults to that part of the menu after coming very close to formatting my memory card after a days shooting!!

Flippin nose.

lol

Mine dosen't press any buttons (theres no buttons where my nose usally is on my 400D) but it rubs against the screen...can get a bit smudged at times lol.

Frequently!

I can only wink with my right eye so I have to look through the viewfinder with my left, hence my hooter often knocking the focus pad on my D200. Yes, there is the lock feature but I usually smudge my glasses when I try and use it with the camera already to my eye.

Maybe I should use the camera upside down?

Waiting for more ergonomic cameras. With an indentation to accomodate your nose.
Prob: I use my left eye, so I'd need that indentation to the right of the middle. But that would be wasted on "righthand-eyers", who would need the indentation on the left . . .

Considering the D40 is a fairly weeny DSLR you must have a tiny face in order for your nose to touch the camera :D

I have the slightly larger D50 and my cheek leaves smears on the LCD protector.

Just grease my cheeks and call me a photographer

Simple answer.

Buy a Canon ... no buttons where your oversize conk can get at them

:suspect: My nose must be super sized then, as I keep pressing the menu button on my 350D with my snoz

I guess my conk must be supersize too!! It took me ages to work out why I kept shooting at ISO 1600, (400D), but sure enough it was the conk!!

Your nose is too big. Simple as that. I recommend surgery.

i too have a large beak. as some of the others , mine touches the screen of my 350.not a real prob. i have a little lens cloth thingy on my camera strap. occasional wipe away of a smudge now and again.
my right eye is the master.wonder how many folks use their left eye?

That's such a good idea! I dont use any straps (they get in the way) but I might try and do something similar.

Not sure about Nikons, but you can get the eye piece extender on Canons, this brings it back by around 10-15mm ish, although your view finder has reduced performance, not by too much in my opinion.

Also those screen protecor films are good to place over your LCD, got them on both of mine.

And I thought you lot were keen photographers!!!
