Does anyone have flickr?

Edit: That's odd... no signature. First post in this thread, too
Edit2: And now it's there. Must require a certain number of characters or something :D

Some fantastic shots here fella..... Some good stuff in all the links, but some of these are what i asspire to

This is me. Still confuses me that most of my views come from people looking at images of lenses????
:D Yup, whenever I chuck a pic on there of gear, I get a dozen hits in a few hours :)
Only put them there in the first place as pics for fleabay/adtrader etc :)
Makes you wonder if it's worth getting up at stupid o'clock for night shots when a 10min table-top snap of an M.E. Super gets more attention lol.

Not met many Hooley's...my Step-dad is a Hooley, and so, then, is my mum and sister. Not such a common name. :)

I don't know of that many either to be honest, apparently its a lot more common in Ireland

Where was the latest from? Nice panoramic shot. I'm in the east mids and looking for somewhere to go this afternoon!

It was taken in Morley Quarry near the small town of Shepshed in Leicestershire. There's an opening through a gap in the trees next to a horse field, difficult to find unless you know the place off by heart. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help.

Although, I geotag all of my photos, so you'll get an idea of where it is from that probably.

Most of the snow is gone now, but I can recommend Bradgate Park and Beacon Hill for photography in the East Midlands. Great landscapes.

No problem - plenty helpful enough! I see, on my phone atm so didn't see the geotag data.

I was going to head to Bradgate tomorrow morning, if I can get out of bed and wander out into the cold! I'll have to check out Beacon Hill at some point too. Thanks for the pointers.

I'm new to the photography world so don't have flickr yet.

What I don't understand is that if your images are easily accessible on there and can be taken by anyone, how do you make money from it?

Is it just the fact that there are some honest people out there that actually do want to buy the prints.

If your a professional photographer making a living from photography, I wouldn't put client photos on Flickr. It is extremely easy to steal photos from Flickr. Only put photos on Flickr of which you wouldn't be affected should they be stolen.
