No
what do you think?

which model

We have two Skoda Yeti's, a 4x4 and a 2x4 in France, both diesels ........ I really like the Yeti .........but it can be an acquired taste

looking to by a RHD Yeti for use in the UK .................but, my son reckons I should try a BMW X1

I also love my Yeti...I suppose the real question is could you live with the shame of driving a BMW X1?
Please note -------> :) <-------.

Graham - I refused "the fix" EA189 on both cars as I have read so much bad press relating to cars that have had "the fix"

all dealer cars will have had "the fix" and many privately owned cars, that's what's putting me off buying another Yeti in the UK ....... I would want a car that has not been "fixed" by VW to delete "the cheat"

Depends on what age you're looking at - I had one of the first generation models as a loan car and didn't rate it, was heavy to drive and was based on an older 3 series (if I remember right) inside and just wasn't for me...

The newer version is much improved, any particular reason you're thinking of an X1 over say 1 series ?

Yeti no longer.
Skoda KAROQ is the replacement.
What Car give it a decent rating ....

The previous version of he X1 didn't get particularly good reliability ratings. The new one may of course be different.

I have an early mk1 X1 s drive & have been very happy with it. One thing I wish I'd done is get an automatic rather than a manual but that was my mistake. It's been very reliable over the 50k my wife & I have covered in it. The steering is a little heavier than some cars but it's not a concern for me, actually feels a little more reassuring as you get more of a sense of how the car is behaving on the road. The one thing that does irritate is that it has run flat tyres & no room for a spare so your kind of stuck with the expensive tyres.

It's all very well asking others opinions but I would say your best bet is to test drive a few & make your own mind up :)
