Yes
After watching BBC breakfast, I realise a dashcam might a good idea. Particularly to record white van men.

Does anybody have a dashcam that has come in handy. Has anybody sent footage to insurance to prove the other road user was to blame?

I installed one about 6 months ago, front and rear with external battery pack, so it keeps recording for approx 40 hours in park mode. Hopefully never have to use any footage.
What's weird is I've seen a few things that have looked pretty close to accidents, you play it back and it looks like nothing at all. The wide angle view tends to make everything look a lot slower.

Search the forum, there have been loads of threads about them.

Yeah front and read, car and motorbike.

Know a few bikers who have used it, also GPS recordings to prove speed in accidents.

Wish I had one on the bike when a young mum knocked me off. Totally her fault but her insurance are trying to claim 50/50

It seems that unless there is a ultra clear faulty party then the companies often rather do this than fight a claim. I presume it's more cost effective for them but it would probably affect the future risk they see in you.
