Does a TosLink AUTO switch box exist?

I have a manual switch box similar to one of these for switching my optical audio signal, as my amp only has one optical input.

It's pretty ugly and can't really be hidden away as I have to keep switching the knob depending on what I'm watching.

Does anyone know if a similar device exists that would detect the audio source and switch audio input automatically?

I take it your amp doesn't auto detect? I would ask over at AVF. 99% sure you will get the answer you need mate.

I looked at this last year as my surround amp is a few years old now and predates hdmi

The only device I found that could do the job at the time was this little baby

It's not pretty and needs a power source, but it is small enough to hide behind the amp iirc.

Ahhh yes something like that would be perfect Brian, thanks. Shame they're based in the US though . I might drop them an email and see how much they'd charge to ship to the UK
