Does 02 UK internet work in Ireland (Republic of Ireland)

Has anyone had success using an O2 UK internet 'stick' in the Republic of Ireland, and it works ok for sending off files?

I have a job coming up in Ireland that may require images sent off while down there, anyone know if that should work?

You need to check with O2 as they seem to have a fixed data roaming rate/min. The EU clamped down on Mobile operators charging exorbitant rates for roaming charges, so the cost may not be so bad.

I found this link for O2 but it seems toi crash every time I ask it about data roaming. Might be easier just to give them a ring

Alternatively you may find you could get a PAYG data sim from O2 in Ireland, provided your stick will accept it and is not locked to O2 Ireland. Again O2 may be able to advise
