I'm still missing the point. I can see that you can apply local adjustments to bread when toasting by the use of aluminium foil, but I'm struggling to see why you'd want to reduce the toasting effect on a hole in the bread.
Rather a neat idea in principle though, to produce slices of toast for all the family which carry individual names.
