Do you use live view?

I don't use it a great deal!..But have found it very handy for high shots, well above viewfinder level, and low shots, for the same reason..Also not being in my first flush of youth, and the owner of an arthritic knee I find low level shooting a lot more comfortable using LiveView. (D300):thumbs:
 
I use it on the tripod only, mainly because it covers more viewing area than the viewfinder.
very useful for product and macro photography :)
 
Definitely use it for macro...like others have said: it is a god-send.
Also use it to test how accurate my manual focussing skills are (not very!).
I find it handy to enable live view, and then zoom in on the area I am focussing on to make sure it is sharp.
 
Don't use it much and when I do, I don't use the camera's screen. I have a Zigview Live plugged into the video out socket, so in effect I have a remote viewfinder and shutter release all in one. Makes it possible to have the camera on a monopod held above my head and still be able to see what and when to shoot. Not ideal for steadiness but not too bad at double the FL rule's recommended shutter speed (so, say 1/125th using a 50mm).
 
I use it a fair bit when working out best compositions for my church shots. It helps give me a fair idea of where and how to set up the tripod for the shot. Once the camera is tripod mounted I use a cable release and the viewfinder unless the camera is too close to a wall or object for me to do so.
 
Don't really use it often, mainly if I want to get low to the floor or the viewfinder is in an awkward position to look through properly..
 
I do on the odd occation, things like this when you can't get low enough, live view to check the composition & focus roughly
