No
Just made the move from "prosumer" to DSLR & am adjusting to the differences in DOF - in particular achieving the same DOF as inherent in the smaller sensor cameras.

Having read much already & also tried a few different techniques (hyperfocal, infinity etc) I wondered if anyone actually uses Hyperfocal focusing now as it seems to be less pertinent to the "digital age"

thanks

Almost daily. :)

It's about the only tool availble to get a deep DoF on a fixed body camera.

I always use the Hyperfocal when shooting landscape shots that I want as much as possible in focus in.

Yeah, me too.

Interiors are easy with a wide-angle though. The inherent DoF means I can stick it on f8 or 6.3 and everything in the room will be sharp.

For landscapes I just guess it most of the time. If you focus at a point about 1/3rd into the picture most of it should be in focus if you're using a smallish aperture (f8 or below)

Yep I use it. Becomes kinda instinctive when you get used to it.
