Do you think it's possible- Zombie movie

Wow, it never ceases to amaze me the amount of effort that goes in to a big movie.

i mean, bringing cars over from America jsut seems crazy too me. Why not jsut CGI it all :bonk:

Or, y'know, film it in America. Would probably be a lot cheaper

Nuh uh. Tax incentives make the UK a cheap place to shoot.

As for the CGI comment; doing the cars in CG would be a lot more time-consuming and expensive than bringing a few cars over from the US. Contrary to popular belief, making a car in CG isn't just a case of pressing a CAR button in some magic software :P

Does this mean the Glaswegians will be able to get away with turning right left on red for the duration of filming? ;)

i'm pretty sure when they shot captain america in manchester for 1960's brooklyn they let people walk down the main street once shooting had ended

go down and see if they're letting people walk down

I work in the city centre and you can walk all around George Square at the moment, it is odd seeing it with the yellow traffic lights in situ!!

I was planning on taking my camera in to work next week and seeing if I can take a few shots (I only work part time so today is Friday for me!)

They are filming the next two Saturdays apparently so I would imagine you wouldnt be able to shoot then!

Let us know how it goes tomorrow if you go, so I can decide whether or not to take my camera to work with me!!!

They're only here because Philadelphia looked as if they were going to withdraw their tax incentive programme (or should that be "program") for film makers/ By the time they'd made their mind up to continue offering them it was too late....

I think I'll pop up there tomorrow. Anyone else going?

I'll be going in, from what I've been told they're shooting at around 11am. Still trying to uncover some of the other locations round the city, so far I know of one set (although I haven't been to check it out yet) and where all the crew are working from.....

Catching some shooting action would be a big bonus but some interesting shots would suffice. I'll try getting there for 11 though.;)

Yes they did, just behind the Printworks. They also filmed Cracker there too.

Don't blame me if it's not on though. Last night it was midnight to about 7am by the looks of it

If I hear of anything I'll post it here

Nice stuff.
I remember the photos posted of the Pirates of the Caribbean in London. Remember the problems with the security once the stars were in place? so be aware.

We'll deal with them the way we delt with the bomber at Glasgow airport. Smeaton style:lol:

no way !!!!

Its a post apocalyptic movie ..... so you need a city that looks like its falling down ...... you also need a lot of actors to play the part of zombies .... Have you ever been to Glasgow at closing time ???

Glasgow is ideal for a Zombie movie, they already have the cast and the scenery, all they need are road signs ;):D

As one guy I spoke to in George Sq said "my e-wife is an extra in the film, playing a zombie, at least they'll save on makeup"
