Do you process your photos using the same template?

Import raw files then work through the manual adjustments choosing the ones relevant to that particular image. This is an attempt to maximise the result, and image requirements vary.

I usually normalise an image, fixing any exposure, colour and noise reduction issues, if there are any. Then I add a 'style' appropriate (I think;)) to the image, if it needs anything else done to it.

Pretty much follow the same path but not every step is always applied.

No I don't. How can you? Every one is different. Run all your images through the same cookie cutter template and you'll just looks like a lazy, untalented photographer who's relying on post processing... except you won't even come across as being particularly good at that either, as you'll just be doing the same thing over and over again.. so in short.. you'll look utterly devoid of any talent or originality.

Individual style is NOT a result of post processing, it's a result of having style.

I cant even imagine how a same template for every photo shoot works... one set taken in bright sunshine and another at night.. one in rain one in snow.. all different lighting and different noise levels for a start....... one template couldnt work for them all...

I tend to create a new profile for the "set", if they're all shot under the same conditions. Only takes a few minutes with basic contrast, highlights, vibrance adjustments, CA removal, sharpness, lens correction (if I want it).

Am on a mission lately to not even open up photoshop and just batch save the set under the same profile straight from RAW, most things I need, I can do just in raw. Its only when I want to apply a filter action I tend to pass it into PS, but then I try and do that as a batch process. Time is money!

I use lightroom for nearly everything and do as follows:

Import and select anything decent with a 1 or 2 star, then go through each of those and crop and straighten.
Then work from the top down - fix WB, then exposure if required, tweak shadows, highlights etc. not much else.. I will apply the adjustments across the set or partial set if all photos are similar..

Much the same as Adam only I carry out the following procedure first - after my images are imported into LR I select the first image select the develope mode, scroll down to the lens correction panel, enable the profile and colour modes. next go to the edit menu(top left of the screen) down to "select all", this selects all the images(on a PC short cut is CTRL+A) at the bottom of the Develope page is a SYNC button hit this and a screen will appear, on it will be ticked all the profile and colour boxes, Hit the synchronize button at the bottom R/HS of the screen, all you images will have the prifile and colour applied, return to the edit mode scroll down to the "undo all" and click. No image will be shown on the screen, just select the image that you want to work on.

Hope this helps
