I have 34 prints A4 size on the living room walls and another 7 on a small strip of wall in the hallway visible to anyone once the front door is open.

it is one way of getting feedback.
 
I probably process around 10% of what I shoot, these usually get posted to the web. Out of these I'll probably print an average of around 5 - 8 a month for competitions and the odd sale or exhibition. I print large on an Epson R2400, use epson inks and just 3 paper types that are profiled, no problems. I've only got 8 framed on the home walls, I have to compete for space with my wife's paintings. I'm going to start putting my favourites for each year in a Blurb book.
 
I have loads of prints,but then my Dad owns a fine art printing company so it would be rude not to get prints done when I visit!

Now that sounds like a good idea - a few years down the line would show real development in style and perhaps competence too

Like it, much more accessible than a load of individual prints :thumbs:

I think generally I'm too lazy to sort out the files and send them off to be printed. I can't afford a decent printer and couldn't risk it just sitting there with the ink clogging up.

I've been thinking about Blurb photobooks too, but yet again haven't got around to it.

I reckon I also fall into the 'not quite there' category, finding fault with my photos and wanting to improve them before printing.

Same here.

I only print for competitions / exhibitions. And the occasional one for the girlfriend or her parents.

If I could afford my rent this month then I may be a bit more liberal with what I print.
 
My pictures are so good they have all the space they need in the down stairs toilet,about 30 so far 7x5 IKEA clip frames, you know the ones,where the clips don't fit properly and go flying across the room.Thought I was just going to 'pop' a few pins in the wall,but no,1930's house built properly and had to get the hammer drill out.Red brick dust everywhere,getting the spacing right etc.
My eldest daughter called in,'what on earth are you doing,building an art gallery',I said,considering which room we are in I think it will be known as the 'Fart Gallery.
 
I went for the easy(!) option - get married to a wife who loves printing photos and putting them all in albums, all over the house, and sending them off to friends and family :thumbs:

It's a deal that works really well - I just like taking photos [regardless of quality, there's just something quite satisfying about the whole picture taking process], and she likes printing them :lol:
 
This thread has prompted me to put a little portfolio together and send off an order with photobox. I remember reading htat the colours were off or the prints were a little dark. Does anyone know if this has been resolved?
