Do you own a Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO Macro Super DG Lens?

That's Mad :O

I brought mine a year or more ago for 99£ :O

I cant believe its got higher :O

(:

But to your question they are good yes,
Damn now I feel ripped off :(

This lens is my current long lens. I was thinking of upgrading (?) to the Nikkor 70-300 VR, but cant justify it yet.

Top and bottom were with D200, middle was D70S.

The AF could be a tad faster I think, but have nothing to compare it with.

Wow, awesome shots, it really is a great lens.!
Ive got the Nikon version, use it as my main lens for my motorsport shots. Found it good can struggle to AF in low light though and sometimes is a little soft at 300mm. I seem to remember i got mine for around £100 last year.
Basically all shots on my flickr taken with the lens http://www.flickr.com/photos/bathman06/

You've got some awesome shots there :D

I had one but it had it's limitations over 250mm with sharpness so I sold it and got the Canon 55-250 IS.
Anyway, here's some 70-300 shots

Just received this in the post and I am really liking its performance.

Obviously a little frustrated with the negatives brought up on here such as its performance in low light and the loud hunting sound, but how can I argue considering the price. Amazing. Up for doing some new **** with this!

Cool I was thinking of getting this lens too.

Would u recommend it now you've got it, xSitara?

Paleblue, it's a great lens, damn right I recommend but if you can afford a better one then get the better one the reason I bought this is because of my low budget.

I was thinking of buying one to replace my Minolta 75-300, but have seen reports of the Sony motors stripping the plastic gears in the lenses.

Anybody have first hand experience of the above?

Thanks
