Do you have any photography planned for Easter?

I'm looking forward to the long weekend so I can finally get out and about with the camera. Trying to juggle a career, a young family and a passion for nature photography isn't easy!

I'm hoping to get out to an owl location and get some elusive short eared owls and also try to get some nice landscapes on the North Yorkshire moors.

Has anyone else got a location or particular photo in mind for over the Easter break?

Yup... Climbing Carn Mor Dearg and then walking along the arete (ridge) up to the summit of Ben Nevis. Not sure whether conditions will be particularly favourable, but I hope to get a few shots all the way along (one hand ice axe - other hand camera?)

Possibly,

We've recently moved into a "doer-upper" and consequently have had a lot of doer-upping to do.

so now the new windows are in, the drive's been layed, the wall's been knocked out, the plasterer's been, the chippy's been, the kitchen's been fitted, the 20x10 "shed" had been erected and half insulated, the bathroom's been fitted, the toilet's been fitted and the massive pile of rubble has been tipped I'm determined to get the old D700 out and get some shots taken.

where? No idea yet but I'm enjoying planning the trip or 2.

Just hope the weather's kind. Last time I looked it doesn't look too good.

Terry.

Hopefully some stock car action on Saturday evening, if the weather's half-decent.

Zoo on Friday and Oulton Park fun day on Monday.
Both with the kids but should still have plenty of opportunities to take photos.

Weather depending I might go to Slimbridge at some point over the weekend - it's right between both sets of parents so could be a handy excuse

If something interesting happens in the garden, I might grab a camera but I'll probably be building a small step out of the conservatory. Trying to get anywhere worth getting to down here will be a waste of time and luckily, Mrs Nod and myself can get out several times per week whenever the fancy takes us so bank holidays can be ignored!

Ireland U21's V Italy U21's tomorrow (only half a mile away from me) and Ireland V Switzerland friendly , Aviva Stadium Fri. As for weekend, between my young lad soccer and hurling practice, might get out and shoot some wildlife/birds.

Will be my port of call on Friday ... see if I can catch any of the reported Kingfisher activity :)

Off to Horsham on Friday to see the annual invasion of Ferrari's and Italian motorcycles, and the Italian market. Possibly even have something to eat also.

That is very cool, I'd love to do that - do you need to be an experienced climber? Hope you can post some shots up of your trip.

Wow, all that is the reason I moved in to our recent house that needs very little doing to it!

I'm planning a trip out on Friday. Looks like Fridays weather is holding out, the rest of the weekend doesn't look as good.

Nice one Rob, yup Friday looks ok which is when I plan to get the owls. Sunday promises rain and sun so might make for some interesting landscapes.

Awesome, actually driving?

I'm jealous, I wish I could do that!

Sounds like a busy one, I'd love a try of curling!

If it wet during the night and dry first thing it may increase the activity levels as hunting in the rain is a last resort for owls. I'm hoping Friday's stays ok otherwise it could be a fruitless search for water voles.

Not me, it's something I occasionally photograph. But a client drives, and he's booked to drive on Saturday evening.

I am planning a shot of a dozen or so randomly placed easter egg wrappers. Unfortunately this involves having to eat the eggs first. It may be a struggle. But has to be done.

Yep, I too can leave bank holidays to those who have no choice of time off, one of only a few perks of getting old.
