Do you give photos as Christmas presents?!

Yes
It's become a bit of a tradition now in my family for me to put together calendars with my photos for certain family members. They get requested each year now!

Does anyone do anything like this?

I use Apple for printing them, and they always come out really well.

Share some photos if you have them!

We tend to do creative things with the photos, for example my mums getting a frame with several photos of my niece and my son, all artfully arranged with some sickly sweet quote in the middle

Yes, I do them every year for my family - with each person getting their own month depending on their birthday! I used Vistaprint to get my calendars for the previous years but Printerpix this year as they had a good deal on. However, think I will be reverting back as Printerpix are not good!

I always do a calendar of our dog for my husband, and a dog walking friend of mine always gets photos of her dogs for her birthday. I started off using PhotoBox, but have now switched to Vistaprint and I'm very happy with them.

I've done Photobox calendars for years (at least 6 I think), mainly for immediate family. They now expect and look forward to them every year. This time was hard work as I've been very ill for 6 months and I only ever use photos from the year, so had very little content to pick from.

As an aside the quality was appalling this year from Photobox, took 2 reprints just to iron out fairly major flaws (i.e. big blotches in the middle of photos), I will be looking for a new provider next year, will probably give Apple a go.

I am doing this year, yes! Mum wanted a print, so she's getting it!

I've done a calender for my grandparents and mum - used funky pigeon I think, and they've come out really well. Pretty pleased as they weren't too expensive (not their main presents!).

Also, used Photobox for a friends family - hardback book of lots of pics of their family. Haven't seen the results in the flesh yet, though....

I sometimes do calendars, mainly for friends and with photos relevant to them. Not taken many photos at all this year so not done any calendars. I home print them and use a Rexel comb binder to ... comb bind them. Can't remember the name of the software I use to create the calendar pages. I've also used preprinted calendar pages with space left to glue on a photo per month. Pretty sure the blanks came from Lidl.

used to - now I can't even be arsed doing that. I give prints to family during the year though

I do a Blurb book of photos of my daughter over the last 12 months, and we give it to our parents and grandparents. My daughter turned 2 this year, so there's noticeable differences in her over a year, and the family love it!

Just did exactly the same :) I go for softback, nice paper, usually 100 pages every few months. For the grandparents went to 200 pages and the best pics of the year ;)

Our youngest was a newborn last xmas, oldest is 4, and agree, even i find changes scary and that's seeing them everyday :)

I like blurb - get your pics printed and off a monitor ;) best way.....

i thought this would be a great idea..10 yrs ago.. had it lal planned.. then it didnt get done and I have never done it.. now I do photogrpahy for a living it feels a bit cheap..like poeple will think I couldnt be bothered wiht a real present so just gave em one of my pics.. even if I was going to present it brilliantly..

great idea.. just never got to do it :(

Yup - calendars every year and I have been told that they are the most anticipated present !
We also do a card which features us in some sort of topical situation with a few props that come out every year and usually cause embarrassment to my daughters - being on a busy beach with santa beards and a decorated tree in August must have been a sight and I imagine the other 200 people on the beach will remember it as well as my girls...
Another tradition is a small diary with pictures from the year - many just snaps that would otherwise be left unseen on the hard drive.

Calendars and diaries each year for friends and family - but not as presents.

I've just finished framing a landscape for my mother which will be part of her present this year. It's a landscape (or maybe that should be waterscape) with windmills which I took during a trip to my sister's place in Holland this summer. Mum was supposed to come with us but was too unwell to travel so this is the closest she's gonna get to the real thing :D

I never give my images as presents. My work confuses most people at the best of times :)

My mum got a 60x40" acrylic box frame off me this year! Its of a place she loves and a view she can stare at for hours!

Its a part present though, as I like it as much as she does! So she will get some other treats too!

I haven't done much this year though, just haven't had the time to do any of it this year. My grandad got a calendar off me last year. So I may do him one again for the new year!

Ditto.

I did do a massive acrylic print of the Melbourne skyline for my parents though. Keep meaning to do a calendar of Aussie images for them as well. If I still lived in the UK I wouldn't do anything like that, because they could just go look at the places themselves. :)
