... step outside the door with your camera and think, "do you know what, it's so cold today I'm going back in the warm!"? :coldfeet:

I tend to get out in almost all weathers as I enjoy being out and about, but I got to the car this morning and the wind was so cold that I couldn't face walking the city today. :(
Even with my big Montane down jacket, beanie hat and gloves It was still bitingly cold around my face.
Southern softee or just a sign that I'm nearer 80 than 70? :oops: :$
 
No, because I check the forecast first. But I have gone out with my camera and regretted it in that it felt a lot colder than I expected.

Never got out of the door and done that but have talked myself out of it early morning while still in bed. Also, I think there's only one occasion that I've arrived at my location and the weather was so bad it made me regret my decision to go out.
 
No, but I do do it if it's raining. The cold doesn't bother me much, indeed I just looked at the temp in my living room where I'm typing this and it's 11.7c and I'm fine. I'm not big on the rain though, dont want to get my cameras wet. Plus the skies are often a bit rubbish.
 
I don't really mind cold, Sat for 3 hours on the beach yesterday in 4 degrees but I don't bother in the rain...
 
Rain can be fun as long as it's not torrential, gives lots of street opportunities - but a really cold wind is a pain!
Weather forecasts (joke!) can't really tell you how cold you are going to feel when there is a strong wind with it, that's what can make it so unpleasant to be out for me. :(
