Do you always keep a lens on your camera?

Mine never had the 70-200 off only special occasions when another was needed but now the 170-500 is welded to it for life

Yes. Normally the 10-22 or the 24-105L. :)

Yes. My new 17-40 which now is my walkabout lens, as I always favoured the 35mm manual on my 35mm Nikon this lens is ideal. The camera lives on it's back too. I once read than lenses are best stored upright, can't quite remember why but it's what I do.

Always! Not always the correct one of course...

cheers

Usually the 18-70 is on it but sometimes I change depending on the future. For the next little while I'll have my Sigma 10-20 as I'll be on a train, a bus, a plane, and then indoors with lots of family. A nice wide angle to capture it all ;)

one body 70-200
one body wide-normal zoom

standard really.

Yes... 55-250

i leave mine on to, fits in the bag better and less chance of dust
70-200 on 30D & 24-70 on 5D ready to use, its what i do most of my shootings with

Last one on each body for me too usually a nifty fifty on each!

looks like I'm the only one who doesn't leave a lens on the body ;)

I've got some foam padded storage for all my kit when its in the house so the lens comes off then, and if I'm taking the 170-500 with me then its a bit of an awkward fit with the body attached in the bag, so carry body detached. however if I'm off out for a drive the bag is usually open on the passanger seat with the 70-300mm IS attached "just in case" something should catch my eye.

I usually have my Tokina 11-16 on as I use it the most and it stays on from whatever I was doing last. If I am using the camera round the house then the 17-40 is usually on there.

Yes, always keep a lens on my camera, ready to go! Have done for years. Last year my kit lens focus ring broke and cost my £50 for a repair at Nikon. Was it because I kept it on the camera and put it loose into a backpack with my lunchbox, probably, but it hasn't stopped my doing it since - although now I wrap it in a towel first!

My 16-85mm stays on my camera 90% of the time as it the lens i use most.
