Actually I've done that in the past, covered it in leaves and let nature degrade it naturally.So using that logic, someone could let their dog poop in the woods off the beaten track where it won't inconvenience anyone, and not pick it up, and that's OK?
Besides, what happens if you get caught short? I suspect that its happened to a few of us, we've needed to go,
and I bet not one of us has picked it up and taken it home, more like covered it over and let the insects take care of it.
