Do I need continuous lighting?

I'm doing well in blowing the background in my new studio, but am looking to blow the immediate shadows out too, by the feet, etc:

Thing is I've looked at continuous lighting kits and they all seem to have flourescent tubes, and I'm using flash....so I think I'm getting the wrong end of the stick, I know I could set the WB with a grey card but would the other option be a softbox overhead on a boom behind the model?
 
the last thing you would want in continuous lighting. there is no point in trying to mix the two since the flash output is so much higher than the continuous, it wouldn't even register in the image - not to mention the difference in light temperature.

you could try additional flash off to the sides behind the model... but i'm afraid shadows are a part of an image... they often look worse without. e.g the above pic, I think looks great, she would look like she was floating on a wall of pink if no shadow was present?
 
Thanks Rob, my studio is 3.2m x 6 so can't really get away with one either side. On the picture above I used 2 shoot through brollies facing away and behind me. I have been trying to find a small light source for the ceiling (3 metres high) to light the back of the model more. I have a couple of softboxes but once I add one of my spare monoilights it takes up too much height.
 
you could always try a boom arm with a beauty dish over the top of her, that way you get a hairlight as well :) - maybe something to consider
