Do any of the current card readers, either internal or external, either USB 2.0 or USB 3.0, actually any of the current modern card readers (not including older ones which you can get second hand from eBay) still allow SmartMedia?

Or have they all now dropped SmartMedia from card readers?

Most card reader manufacturers have now dropped support for SmartMedia memory cards as they were superseded by XD cards. The overwhelming popularity of SD cards has resulted in camera manufacturers are now favouring SD cards over the soon to be extinct XD card.

Yeah but my 12 years old Olympus Camedia C-3040ZOOM is still in good working order and I still have some SmartMedia cards that I'm using.

Just because SD is more popular than the XD which in turn is better than SmartMedia, it do not mean nobody is using SmartMedia. For all I know I may be the last one still using SmartMedia, but for as long as my cards are still working, I'm not throwing away a perfectly good camera that can still be used.

That's why I was just wondering if there's still any card readers around that still use SmartMedia, and if so, that's good, and considering that I found out there are still a few card readers around that still accept SmartMedia, then it's good to know I can think about buying one. :)
