Do any members supply or fit kitchens?

I'm looking to renovate my parents house and just need some kitchen doors and drawer fronts, the units themselves are fine, there's a huge variation of prices on the net, so as this forum has a large membership i thought it was worth asking here first.

Thanks

@kendo1 is a fitter and from what I've seen of his projects, a good one.

FWIW (having just had a new kitchen fitted), cabinets that look OK at a quick glance may well be a decade or 3 past their best before date (ours looked fairly serviceable but came to pieces VERY easily...)

1st thing is to find out who supplied the cabinets.
Normally the hinge positions, doors and drawer front sizes are the same, but not always!
It might be worth taking a door off and comparing it to a range you like from the usual sources - B&Q, Howdens, IKEA.
Avoid Homebase like the plague! B&Q kitchens have improved substantially recently. Howdens - you need someone in the trade to get discount. I get 90% discount - you don't :)

I've checked the cabinets and they're fine I know the exact door measurements and hinge positions I'm also quite confident I can fit them myself :)

Howdens have their big sale in October don’t they ?

:wideyed:

If we split the discount, you can come down & do mine. ;)
It's just the way they work to keep the public out.
In effect, they price a cabinet at say £1000 and with my 90% discount I get it for £100. Most fitters add on a percentage of 10% or 20% and sell it to you for £120.
That's OK with me as I don't get paid for the site visits, consultation, planning and ordering, costing etc, unless I do this.
