Yes
I have a D7000 and PS CS4, which obviously doesn't support my NEFs. I can't justify paying to upgrade PS so I tried using Nikons View NX2 but I just don't get on with it, I've been using PS for over 10 years and I'm comfortable with it. So I decided to try Adobes DNG Convertor. Now, am I just being really stupid, or are you not able to convert single files?! It seems that it can only do batch conversion. I have version 6.3 and when under the "Select the Images to Convert", I can only choose "Select Folder". If I then go into a folder and click an individual image, the cross next to it disappears and the "select" button goes unclickable! What if I don't want to convert the whole folder, for example if I have some which don't need any work and so a simple conversion to JPEG in View NX2 will suffice?? Seems very silly to me, or am I missing something?

Thanks!

I don't use it but I think you can only select either a single image or folder.

I can't find out how to do a single image, that's my problem. Oh well, Just have to convert all of them at once then! Thanks.

If you open the folder (with the dng converter) can't you just click on one image?

Edit, just tried it and it seems you cant, just have to put one pic in the folder.

Ridiculous eh? Oh well if that's the way it is, I guess it's my choice for deciding to use free software rather than paying to upgrade Photoshop :)

Yes you can convert just one. Drag the single photo on to the Adobe DNG icon on your desktop, the conversion window opens, select convert, and it converts just that one image [obviously].
