Hey Guys,

I have ha my P3S since Aug 2015, Its only been flown half dozen times.

It all worked fine with no Poor signal warnings ever!! Until recently I got it out and it required a Firmware Update.

The Firmware update stated it was successful. After this it is constantly losing Remote Controller Signal and showing magnetic interference.
I have flown it in the same area as previous under same circumstances and even put the Controller on the floor next to the Drone and after few moments it
has the RC Signal Warning!!

DJI want me to pay to send it to Netherlands Service centre & because its out of warranty want me to pay a repair fee??
Are they liable if the firmware was the problem?

They recently lost a court battle over firmware damaging internal components to other drones.

It certainly looks like a common problem amongst owners:

Anyone else having similar problems? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

Annoying but my advice would be forget the two year old drone and update to Phantom 4 or Mavic.(or some other make)
You can ignore prompts to update firmware indefinitely but best to make sure the app can't auto-update.

Not really familiar with that model now but presumably you can't download older firmware to roll back?
With my P3Pro (when I was updating it) I kept older versions, but periodically there was a major change which could not be reverted.

Looks like no easy home fix.

I feel bit annoyed that it's probably the Firmware that caused the problem.
I paid £650 and it's only been flown few times.

Surely DJI must be liable?
