Anybody seen it yet?

I've seen it twice. Can't get enough of it. Cristoph Waltz is phenomenal in his role as Dr King Schaultz. Foxx is very good. The film is just pure class. Even the soundtrack is wonderful.

Anyone agree/ disagree???

Loved it, its awesome.

Its like a western version of Kill Bill, but better inmo

I really wanna see it, as does hubs. I love Waltz. Not too keen on Jamie Foxx BUT was quite impressed with him when I saw him interviewed the other week (Rossy?) ANyhoo...we'll be going to see this for sure :D

I've seen this and i thought it was great. Great acting and the soundtrack is spot on.

Yes saw it a couple of weeks ago, be aware in typical Tarantino style it has almost cartoon-like bloodbath moments.
One of the best films I've seen in a while though.

It's about an hour too long and starts to drag out towards the finale. It is worth a watch, not up there with Pulp Fiction, but I thought it was better than Inglourious Basterds. Waltz and DiCaprio steal the show.

I loved it, as mentioned Waltz was outstanding. Not sure about Dicaprio as a "bad guy "

It's brilliant until DiCaprio appears. He's briliant in it, but for me, the whole film just draaaaaaaaaaaaaaged from that point on. 60+ minutes too long.

Waltz is amazing.

Maybe just me but he kinda still has a "wholesome" image cant quite accept him as a racist plantation owner

On my list for the weekend.

I loved the film thought it was his best film in a long time. I loved waltz and you have to kinda love (but really hate) Samuel l Jacksons part

it was so good that James Remar Got to play 2 characters and die twice

Can't wait to see it. I'm a huge Tarantino fan.

I didn't thing I.B. was up with his best, so I hope this is back to his best.

Well, even from the trailers you know he's going to get his comeupance.

But how?

Please don't reveal that.

I've put spoiler tags round it Damian and deleted the quotes from our posts.

As Simon says, it wasn't a biggie.....but just for safety, I'm staying well clear of this thread until after I've seen it!!

Too risky round here......:suspect:

Outstanding film, just got back from seeing it.

Brilliant performances from all, cracking script (as you'd expect) and some surprisingly hilarious moments mixed in.

Cinema perfection!

Saw it the other night, fantastic film!

Have to say I was a little uncomfortable with the repeated use of the "N" word to start with but I think it was needed to bang home how oppressive those times were if you weren't white.

It's obviously quite a sensitive issue and I know the reaction Afro-American community has been mixed.

From my own perspective, the slave trade is something I was aware of but not really given too much thought to. Yes it was "only a film" but if black people were treated anywhere near as badly as the film portraits then it was definitely an eye opener! The sad fact is I guess at that time, slaves were treated a lot worse.

I think Tarantino got the balance of the film spot on, it was educational, entertaining and still "Tarantino like".

to be fair that film was mild in showing how slaves were treated during that time. It barely touched the surface.

You should watch something like The Colour Purple or Roots to get a better sense - although even these are dramas.

I realise I'm probably in a minority of one here. But. I really dislike Tarantino films. They they seem like an adolescent's wet dream.

Have you seen Django Unchained?

Samuel Jackson was awesome from the moment he appeared on screen I was praying bad things would happen to his character

No I haven't. Is it very different from his other films?

It's different, but still a Tarantino movie. I think this'll change your opinion. I wasn't a fan of Reservoir Dogs or Jackie Brown, and I wasn't too keen on the Kill Bill movies but this is something else, it's very good.

I'd completely disagree, it's nothing like Kill Bill IMO.
