Hi folks I have recently decided to make the transition from landscape photography to portrait and still life photography.
My problem is that there seems to be a lot of equipment needed to get good studio shots and im not willing to pay out for it at the moment. So I have had a look around a found some fantastic suggestion on how to make some equipment with stuff from around the house i.e. beauty dish, reflector, light box.
I have got my hands on a 500w halogen light, this obviously produces a harsh light and I would like to diffuse it, can anyone make a suggestion or post a link on how to build something that will do that please.
I am also looking for a suitable way to create a backdrop. I am currently looking a white muslin fabric - that seems to be what is generally used, but I cant think of a way to hold it up, the fabric will have to stay on a roll as I will have to put it away after every practice.
