Hi Guys,

Doing a lot more portraits now and have been looking at various wallpapers for backdrops and was wondering if anyone has done anything similar and if so what did you paste the wallpaper to? I was thinking of some lightweight that i can switch so maybe different papers onto polystyrene boards that i can then mount onto a wooden frame. Not 100% sure though and was hoping i'd get some ideas. These won't be getting taken out of my house so whether they're 6-8 foot or whatever they'll be fine so long as i can switch them easily.

8x4 sheets of hardboard?
 
When i did kids photo shoots i bought an 8x4 sheet of MDF (cut in half to make 2 4x4 boards)
Sealed them with a diluted PVA mix then papered them.
I would then clamp them to my backdrop stand for support.

Thought about hardboard too. I know it's a bit floppy but attached to the frame it'll be fine. I'm concerned about it bending though when it's sitting not being used.

I was thinking along those lines but using polystyrene instead due to weight. I might speak to my father in law as he's a joiner and might shed some light on it. Did you have to seal mdf to allow it to be papered?

3 or 6mm MDF in 4x4 isnt that heavy.
Yeah sealed with diluted PVA before papering.
