I know there are a few divers on here so hopefully I can get my question answered without joining a diving forum...

I'm off to Sharm on Sunday for a week and have just bought a 7mm semi-dry. The semi-dry was bought for Australia in July/ August but I want to try it out. Water temp in Sharm at the moment is 24 degrees. Am I going to be too hot? Is there such a thing as being too hot while diving?

I do have a 5/4/3 wet suit but it's a Billabong one, not an official scuba suit, and I was quite cold diving in it at 21 degrees.

For me - a 7mm is too hot in 24 degrees- I'd go with 5mm but it does come down to preference alot - I know people who would dive 7mm in 24 degrees. You can be too warm, but I've not managed it yet

I was expecting around 21/22 degrees but the Camel website is reading 24 at the moment. I may try to pack both but really struggling with case weight. Thomson airlines no longer give extra weight to divers apparently.
