DisneyWorld Florida

thought i'd revive this thread as we're planning on going next year also, is it booked now simon and what did you choose in the end, what did it cost?

Hope to book next week or 2. Still deciding on Feb, Late March or Mid May (ideally want to incorporate 1 week of school hols). Looking like £4-£5k for flights, car and hotel depending on if we do cheaper hotel, villa, or disney caribbean.

Well, booked it today. 17th May next year for 2 weeks. Booked with Virgin travel person (have desks in debenhans). Managed to negotiate approx £500 off. V lounge, Disney Caribbean (so free dining), Car (with platinum ins) and 14 Disney tickets for 2ad 2 kids for just under £6k so happy with that. Funnily enough to go day before is around £2k more so do check neighbouring dates!

Can't wait!

Make sure you do Sea World. My kids actually loved it more than Disney. They were doing a go one day, get another day free deal when we were there, which made it even better.

We fly on Tuesday for two weeks.

Was hoping to have my new camera by then but this holiday combined with being in the middle of a house move has stopped that but may be for the best as I won't be too precious about my £85 ebay special bridge camera when leaving it to get on the rides etc

Hope to get some great family pictures. All others will be a bonus really.

Pics to follow in about three weeks :-)

PS kids are 13,14,15 so going for universal 6 park pass only plus my treat, Kennedy Space Centre, grew up in the late sixties and early 70's with the Apollo programme so it's a must for me

Get a package that includes all your tickets and park access as it'll save time and hassle once you get there.

The Yanks have got it sussed tho, the service you get over there is way beyond anything you'll get in restaurants, shops, transport here. I was very, very impressed when I went to Disnaey Florida, a few years back. Brilliant holiday. Was in International Drive for a week, then went down to the Gulf Coast for a week of kicking back. Wonderful.(y)(y)

Totally agree with the above.

I went 11 years ago with my family and it was fantastic....I went again last year and didn't think it could live up to the first trip. I was wrong, it was even better.

One thing we did, and I'd advise you to do the same...plan ahead. We did and it really did save a lot of messing around.

Apart from the food :) the best part for me was The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was awesome. It literally (apart from the hoards of people) is like being there.

Enjoy and I'm not envious

Cheers.

NB, Kennedy Space Centre was great as well.
