For easter I had got given a multipack of Cadburys Caramel bars.

I had one, it was all ok.

I come to open the second today, and the bar was mouldy in the joins. (where you snap the little segment off)

I open the rest and they are all like it.

I am gunna send them back, I am appalled that they are selling off mouldy products, and within the use by date which is the 11 - 2009

Shame anything else I should do before I send them back?

I sent back some time outs before a six pack and only one packet had anything in it. lol.

I was not amused. They sent me a box containing 48 time outs.

I was in heaven.

They have been kept in a warm environment for too long.
 
One fault in confectionery/biscuits I never complain about is when, for example, if you buy a KitKat there is no wafer just chocolate............yummy:D
 
Yeah sounds like bad storage from the place you bought them from, I would guess.

Take some pics and send the eggs back, maybe with photocopy of the receipt if you have it (just to prove you have bought some recently maybe).
 
It is normal for chocolate to produce that white yeast powder-like substance on it's surface when kept in a normal room temperature enviroment and then placed in a fridge for a week or two and then back out into normal room temperature. It's harmless but doesn't make the chocolate look very attractive.

I have actually eaten chocolate like that and it has been ok apart from not looking very nice, but I have also tasted chocolate in a similar condition that has gone "off" with a bitter taste.

Oh it isnt white yeast like substance its like a dark white / light green with bacteria looking shapes.

Btw you have focused on the Cadbury logo not the mould:D

So are you disgusted or appalled ? you do mention both verbs in your description:D

I think you'll find that you won't need to kick up a fuss with Trading standards
(unless you really want to that is) Others I have known to return "sub standard goods" of this nature
have been "well rewarded"

Careful that mould doesn't spread to your lenses :lol:

If you get Trad Stads involved, you prolly won't get any bumper pack of goodies from BadCurries. If you say you're disgusted and can't stand the sight of their products, you should be compensated with moolah.

That doesn't look too bad at all. I certainly wouldn't be sending that anywhere. mmmmmmmm!

And any deterioration since the first one that you ate is most likely down to the way you have stored it.
 
That looks like the bars have been refridgerated then stored someplace warm(ish) for a while. The chocolate has bloomed. It's due to the high fat content and condensation, harmless but not very nice looking. The nasty looking bits may have a slightly grainy texture too, but it can also be washed off with a little lukewarm water on a cotton bud.
