Discussion / idle chat thread (2022) Week 52 Showcase

Besides The theme was damp, not soaking wet or a bloody great puddle...

But the dehydrated dihydrogen monoxide had got damp...

How damp is damp?

Couple of drops, thin layer, slightly soggy...

Anyway I'll b****r off now as I'm probably being cheeky and heading for a telling off.

If we do swimming pools we had better set some size and depth limits though LOL (sorry).

Well - I’m on the train back from Manchester with a good number of damp with reflections shots :) It’s only day one though i’ll hang fire and see if the weekend gives me anything else :)

Here is one, do some indoor exercise to the point of getting a wet T-Shirt/Top then stand in front of mirror and snap.
As long as its not you :p
I think I could manage that one.
As above, no, just no!
(I've seen some of your comicon costumes before :p)

I'm sure someone would actually ask …

I'm not having a go at you, just trying to get you to understand the parameters.
People do interpret different themes in different ways and sometimes find the themes difficult.
A thesaurus can be helpful for some as well.

But I just hope that people enter into the spirit of things and challenge themselves, hence the name 52 challenge.
If it was meant to be easy all the time, I'd rename it, the piece of p***, 52. :)

That's fine, no need to explain.

Ultimately people do this for the challenge and fun of it. If it was too easy then what's the point. Likewise, if it becomes a pain or too much hassle and people start having a go at you (me) then they'll (me) just stop playing along. Nobody's getting paid for this, it's purely for fun...when the fun stops..it ends.

Although, of course, with this being the UK…
Wet and windy here ( just for a change  ) just a few miles North of you.

@Cobra can you select themes like this more often, been bright and sunny since Thursday lol. Making taking a damp pic difficult, an achievement in Scotland ;) hell we even sat outside this eve by the chimnea after making outdoor pizza, now thawing out a bit :p

Well Scotland has reverted back to form, damp should no longer be a problem…..

For "Damp" I'd love to post a photo of the damp plasterboard with water stains on my kitchen ceiling, whilst waiting for a plumber to attend to the hidden corroded water pipe, but it's not a terribly interesting picture. If the ceiling caves in though, it might be more interesting I suppose, and cover the Tech of it reflecting the lack of attention paid by the bathroom fitter 5 years ago...

Sorry to laugh, Lindsay but it's better than crying! Hope you get it sorted soon and properly.

Typically, it really dried up here the last few days, so the shots I’ve had in mind I haven’t been able to get. Will be doing a rain dance later.

People would be a nice theme :cobra::wave:
Not exactly, but I have a feeling you maybe able to shoe horn this one ...
Unless I change my mind by tomorrow, that is ;)

Week 10? seriously?

It seems that we still have a few people "grounded" for what ever reason, this one should make
their lives a little easier and dead easy for those mobile..

So what is it?
Something (anything) seen through a window.

( @LC2 Sorry about the long title Tim.. :D )

I've just been in the kitchen photographing (through a window) a squirrel and some pigeons on my newly installed bird feeder - so hopefully this week should be easier for me!

Just had a quick peek at the scrolls to make sure I'd managed everything and noticed that my tech (ICM) in week 4 (Bottles) hasn't been noted yet.

You just need to give Tim @LC2 a nudge next time he's about and either he or @minx will sort it for you :)

( I don't have the keys to this )

I've not updated the scrolls for a few weeks as I'm in the middle of 5 weeks of conventions and model shoots, so all of my spare time has been used for editing.

I know I need to catch it up and will as soon as I can.

No hurry - sounds like an exciting but busy time.

No worries Tim, as and when (y)

The wheel spins and here we are again on the eve of the theme! What will this week’s challenge be? Plucked from a snakey brain!:naughty::banana:
