Three categories:

1 - Best Mammal (not human)
2 - Best NON Mammal
3 - Best image that does not fit either of the above.

Absolutely NO comments by anyone about any of the posts in this thread please DISCUSSION THREAD HERE.

If you have more than a thousand posts or have won anything before or are not sure PM me first. As you need to be posting in the other thread.

Just to point out that because one has not done 1000 posts doesn't mean one is a beginner as inferred. For example you could have on here a highly professional and respected photographer who has just joined and only posted a couple of times

Absolutely true, it is a new format being tried ie "are you a beginner"? if so in the beginner thread. There is no real easy to use cut off and so I am relying on people being sensible. If it works it will be used again, if it doesn't then we will probably revert to everyone in a big pot again. :bang:

Hello and welcome to TP. The photo is ok where it is but if you join the competition I would suggest that you would be in the normal section. Beginners really is supposed to be just that.

thanks for that didnt see the actual compotition thread ill post in there too

Well I finaly got of my lazy backside and put some pictures in the comp.

Must say I'd like a day out with a few of the OTHERS to see how they got their shots. Some are astonishingly good.

Oh and some of you begginers are trying to pull our legs :D

Four days left for competition entries.

Gonna be gutted when these threads fall down the board. I ♥love♥ looking at all the pictures.

We'll have to arrange more of these. It is a shame you live so far away and have the hardest traveling arrangements. The NW area members are very active in arranging meets

As many as I can afford and rota's allow I would join in.

Not said it before but I had a fantastic time. Sadly because of a problem of permanent fatigue I was zonked for Monday and Tuesday.

Thanks go to those that arranged it. I'm glad so many people had a good day.

Special thanks to Button-moon aka Tracey, sorry you had to put up with a boring old fart all day. Your a charming young lady who should believe more in your photography. Just remember not all pictures are taken at f5.6 :D

Darren it was one of the highlights of my year, great work on Julian and Nattelies camera kit. Your one of the few real stars of this world. The place need more like you.

Maybe someone can sort a Macro meet when I get my Tokina back from Onestop who are busy taking the micheal :D
