I am about to buy a Canon EOS 7D with a 15-85mm IS USM lens + a 70-200mm f4 L IS USM with Hoya Filters and a 32Gb Compact Flash card, am I able to negotiate a discount with the major photographic equipment suppliers and if so what deal can i expect?.... all the above comes to about £2,600 is the best price i have been quoted so far.

I would get 4 x 8gb CF cards rather than one big one. It will be cheaper and you will have backups. Just imagine that is the only card you have with you and it fails! As for a discount, not a clue. Have you asked Kerso here for a price?

Agreed. I carry 4x 4Gb cards, cos if one goes bad, that's only 300 shots lost maximum.

Great advice re smaller cards.
Ian.

Agree fully with that, drop Kerso a line with details of what you want, he's good on price and offers great service from my experience of him.

Are the 4gb Scandisk extreme small cards as fast as the 32gb Scandisk extreme cards?

Yep, sandisk use a naming convention that means the cards are the same speed. As long as they are of the same generation. The current extremes are more than adequate!

Ps, Kerso (Ian) has replied in your thread- you need to get a price from him!

Thanks very much guys for the positive comments here, VERY much appreciated. Regards Ian.
