Hi All,

While trawling charity shops at the weekend, i picked up a REGULA DISC MX camera.

Main reason i picked it up, was i'd never seen one before and it was still in it's original box.

Can you still get disc film anywhere? Would love to try it out.

Thanks in advance.

Liam

Best of luck finding film for it and then finding somewhere to process it for you!

Of course, you MIGHT be able to find one and be able to reload it yourself then D&P it at home but the tiny negatives are unlikely to be more than a fun experiment.

Having a little problem.

Got the film, put it in the camera. Put the batteries in and nothing is happening. Supposed to have a light on to show it's ready, and nothing!

Can't play around with it either as i've put film into it now.

Shutter button a little sticky as well.

That's a shame. I would suggest (if you haven't got a dark bag) at night in the darkest bedroom go under the bed clothes and take the film out the camera and then put the film disc in something light proof.

You can then try fresh batteries, clean up battery contacts, gentle shakes etc to see if you can jog the camera back to life. There will be plenty of other disc cameras to buy at v little cost in this obsolete and unloved film format.

I would also read up online to find out if you can remove or re-insert the disc film in (subdued) daylight. I can't remember if this is possible or not but being as though it's a very simple consumer camera I wouldn't be surprised. You may loose a frame or 2 like you do in 110 or 126 formats but they have a light proof backing paper which I'm sure disc film doesn't.

I can't recall my then 10 year brother loosing any shots and I know we messed about with that disc camera all the time.
