Disappointed @ warehouse express

Hey, it's up to you how you wish to interpret it. I was just commenting on my experience with them. It wasn't good. Next time I wont bother. I'll just stick to posting the odd pic now and again and not saying anything against what is obviously a popular retailer.

btw it was a 2 hour round trip to town, not a further 4 day wait (i wasn't going to pay £22 extra for Saturday delivery) to possibly, maybe, when they had run the checks and were satisfied, get the delivery to come and find me out at work, as I could not take another day off to take the item in on Monday, then I would have had to go into town, find and pay for parking, deffinatley queue at the post office to pick up my parcel.

I still would not send my details from any of the above documents over unsecure email.

They use the electoral roll, about this time last year, I bought a 400D kit from them, in their showroom, they asked my address, and then said someone else's name (I had only lived at that address approx a month) I asked how they knew that persons name (previous tenant) they said they use the electoral roll.

Thought they might, but I'm on it. Given up trying to work it all out now.

I have requested that this thread be deleted as it's obviously got peoples backs up, and that wasn't the intention.

Sorry.

I will not post in this part of the forum again, positive or negative.

If you would have invested as much time sending in what WHE asked for, rather than spend it whining about them then maybe folks would be more sympathetic?

I can never understand when folks invest seemingly hours of there life complaining on forums, when a simple fax or e-mail giving them what they asked for would have been quicker all round?

All seems a bit pointless really.

Very disappointed as I have taken the day off work to accept the order in. Perhaps, if they had done this when I ordered it and not waited until the day before delivery it could have been sorted.

Unless I've got this thread wrong I believe that b_1_rd was dissapointed that WHE waited until the goods were due to arrive before asking for details NOT that they were looking after his financial security. That's not what I'd call whining, it's a quite reasonable complaint over a poor ordering system from WHE

Isn't that what this part of the forum is for, to pass on the experiences you have had, good or bad?

I say again, I am not prepared to send my details by unsecure email, when there is a slight chance that someone could get hold of it and do exactly what Warehouse Express were seemingly trying to avoid. If I had done it anyway the items still wouldn't have been arriving on the day I wanted them and arranged off work. I'd have had to arrange another day for delivery the following week, then had to go into town and pick up the package from the post office as I would have been at work and no one in at home to accept the parcel in, so therefore it would not have been quicker would it? So I took the option to cancel and buy from a shop who I knew would accept the payment without any hassel. And before anyone says 'why didn't you just do that anyway', I was attempting to save myself £10.

@ mrgubby - Thank you, exactly that.
