this will be my last post until jan '14 , I have just moved house and this is how long it will take bT to sort out our phone and broadband. (useless bastards) I know this enforced absence will be hard for many of you to take , especially the ladies, but @MWHCVT is willing to provide counselling for any damsels in distress who find the separation too hard. ;)

god knows what i'll do in the interim - I may even have to take some photos

Nope, if my Internet goes offline at home I do have my phone but that is useless there isn't a sniff of a usable data capable signal...calls is fine but even a basic image free thread would take 5 minutes plus to load :(

My mobile phone data connection is between 3 and 4 times quicker than my home broadband (which is 20Mbps), gets a good signal as well :).

Say no more :confused:.

Whenever I've tested Vodafone it has such poor data infrastructure that even with a strong 5 bar signal on 3G it still trickles along like it was a 56 Kbps dial up modem most of the time.

You're lucky! Closest area with 3G signal is 20 miles away, and we usually get a 1 bar signal on GPRS, providing it's our day of the week to get a signal at all...................
