Hello all ,

I purchased this pump recently and took it out of the box today but I'm a little confused by the float, Will this need to have enough room to be free floating ? I can get around it but the original idea was to have a sump just a little wider than the pump and then put a slab over the top meaning the slab would only need a simple brace in the middle rather than a bigger hole with a much more elaborate frame to seat/brace the slab above .

Many thanks for any help ( the instructions are not very help full)

Not sure what id did with the photo !!

Thanks Graham, So does it mean to use in full auto mode the sump will have to be wide enough that the float can rise and fall by it's self without hindrance or is full auto impossible with this type of pump ?

It’ll need a bit of room, yes…..the float switch needs room to float. The pump will stay running all the time the float is suspended in water.

Thanks Larry not a major problem but I will have to make some sort of frame from steel angle to support the slab above it, thanks your help
