The first img was the state of my 1dmk2 sensor yesterday, the second image is after 1 wipe with eclipse fluid on a pad thingy like stick thingy.
not perfect but a hell of a lot better.

Just cleaned mine this morning too, Zoom in to 200% on your test shot and check again Gary, You will probably find more than you bargained for..;)
 
Did you guys also have this huge fear of the first cleaning session!

Then afterwards..... we wondered why!!

I would rather have done open heart surgery at the time and afterwards sat in stunned silence for a few seconds wondering what the fuss was about...:bonk:
 
I cleaned the sensor on my 30D the other week (with help from a friend who's done it before). It absolutely terrified me at first, but as soon as I saw an equalised photo of the sky taken at f16 in Photoshop and noticed all that nasty dust Canon kindly provide free of charge with new 30D's had gone, I was chuffed to say the least!

It's been fine since, but at least now I know it's nowhere near as bad as I first thought!
